About me

Hello! My name is Myriam Padron, I am a licensed psychologist in both Florida and New York. I received my masters and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I currently work in private practice and per diem at the Neurobehavioral Institute (NBI).

I have specialized training in treating obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic attacks, phobias, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, hair-pulling, skin-picking, hoarding, LGBTQA concerns, autism affirming care, and eating disorders. I also have extensive experience providing therapy to those who suffer from depression, mood disorders, and personality disorders.

Throughout treatment I use evidence-based skills found in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I also believe treatment should be tailored for each client depending on their own specific needs. There is no “one size fits all.” I see therapy as a collaborative process, working together as a team against symptoms. I hope to help you in your journey back towards your goals/values.

When I’m not in the office I spend my time biking trails, experimenting with new recipes, solving puzzle boxes, watching true crime documentaries, and meeting my demanding cats’ needs (I have three too many).
